REMCOM is the leading developer of commercial electromagnetic analysis

Raymond Luebbers and his graduate students, H. Scott Langdon and Christopher Penney, formed Remcom
in 1994 as an extension to the research that they were conducting at The Pennsylvania State University.
In the midst of this research, it became apparent that there was interest in a product that combined
a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) with the power of the Finite-Difference Time-Domain
(FDTD) method.
REMCOM now develops and markets several related software products:
XFDTD is a 3-D electromagnetic field analysis and simulation soft-
ware package that serves a wide variety of applications, including
antenna, RF/microwave, EMC, optics and bio-electromagnetics.
Wireless InSite is a radio propagation analysis software package,
which utilizes physics-based methods to predict wireless system
coverage areas and signal strength in urban, rural and indoor
environments.
XGTD is a high-frequency, GTD/UTD-based package for the
design and analysis of antenna systems, including interference,
placement, radiation and scattering on aircraft, spacecraft, ships,
land vehicles and other structures.
VariPose is a geometric modeling software product for the
manipulation and refining of high-resolution human mesh
models. Engineers in medical- and biomedical-related industries
find this a valuable tool, both as a stand-alone product and as
a complement to XFDTD.
In addition to these products, REMCOM's Government Services
Consulting Division has performed successfully on many govern-
ment contracts, including SBIRs and ST TRs from the US Army,
DARPA and the US Air Force.
