Remcom provides you with a choice of license methods. The process of choosing a method is made simple with our licensing comparison table shown below.
The basic license is nodelocked using Macrovision´s FlexLM licensing tools. For an additional cost you may obtain a floating license. (This cost is a percentage of the value of the licenses being floated.) The floating license also uses FlexLM, but in a network environment. With a floating license, a license manager is installed on a server. When any other computer on your network requests to use the software, the license manager is queried to see if the software license is in use. If not, that computer may start the software. With multiple licenses, more than one computer may use the software at any one time, up to the limit of the total number of licenses purchased. The floating license will also function on a mix of platforms and operating systems within your network. For Windows 2000/XP installations, another option is available. At no additional cost we will provide Rainbow Technologies' "Sentinel Super Pro" hardware key. This key attaches to the USB port or printer port on your computer. The parallel port key is transparent to the printer, so the printer may then be connected to the output side of the key with no loss of function. When the software is being used, it checks for the presence of the hardware key. The main advantage of the hardware key is portability. You may easily move the hardware key between different computers. You may request your choice of license scheme when you place your order. If no specific scheme is requested, we will ship the most convenient license for your particular system. |
