Wireless InSite Real Time Version

Remcom’s Wireless InSite Real Time module provides a collection of propagation models designed to balance run time and accuracy. Using deterministic models, Real Time produces higher fidelity results than empirical techniques but at greatly reduced computation times compared to full physics-based models.

The Real Time models take advantage of the user interface’s geometry and data visualization capabilities. Typical path loss results are returned in milliseconds, depending upon the propagation model, the size and complexity of the urban environment, and the locations of the transmitter and receiver. These almost instant computation times allow for coverage of large areas, or for near-real-time simulations of transmitter and receiver networks.

For even greater performance, Real Time has thread-safe calculation functions that leverage modern multi-core CPUs to perform multiple real time calculations simultaneously.

Wireless Insite Real Time includes the following propagation models:

  • VPUP
  • Triple Path Geodesic
  • Wall Count
  • Walfisch-Ikegami
  • OPAR
  • Hata and COST-Hata
  • Free Space
