Powerful Flexible Modeling
Spend less time modeling and more time getting results.
Key Features
- 2D Sketcher With Constraints
- Feature History for Objects
Whether you’re importing CAD databases or building your own models, the sophisticated modeling tools in XF7 will make your job easier. The new modeling engine in XF7 allows you to build complicated models from the ground up or modify imported CAD files. This reduces the amount of time you spend modeling, leaving you more time to focus on your results.
XF7 makes it easier to do complicated modeling tasks for people who are EM experts but not CAD experts. Modeling operations are broken down into step-by-step procedures, keeping the interface simple and the tasks easy to understand. Modeling operations are chained together on each object, creating an editable history for each model in your project.
Every minute you spend waiting for a CAD engineer to provide you with an updated version of a CAD equates to lost productivity. With XF7, those delays are largely eliminated because you can modify previously imported CAD models and evaluate the changes right away. Offset faces, widen gaps, perform Boolean operations, apply blends, or even create arrays using the new pattern capabilities. XF7 will remember those changes and allow you to edit them again later, via the feature history.
The starting point for creating models in XF7 is the powerful 2D Sketcher. Intuitive grid/object snapping and a constraint system allow for quick creation of complex shapes. And because XF7 keeps track of all the operations you perform while creating a model, you can always go back and edit the original sketch and those changes will be propagated through the rest of the modeling history.
Each time you perform an operation on a model, that operation is stored in the model's history. Each operation is editable, all the way back to the sketch that was created in the very first step.
