When used with XFdtd, the MPM will automatically divide the problem space evenly among the requested CPUs. This allows the most efficient use of individual processor time and cache, reducing the overall run time for the calculation. Our tests have shown that the maximum number of CPUs that may be efficiently used on one problem is limited only by the underlying computer hardware (usually the memory to CPU bus speed). The MPM supports up to 128 processors, and with Remcom's reasonable prices, your company can configure XFdtd to run on any multiple processor computer from a simple dual-configured PC to the most sophisticated workstation.
