This dataset, generated using Remcom’s Wireless InSite® software, offers a high-resolution view into indoor RF propagation at 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands—enabling cutting-edge work in indoor positioning, wireless sensing, and AI-driven channel modeling.

Accelerating AI and Wireless Innovation with High-Fidelity Simulation

Wireless InSite’s high-fidelity ray-tracing engine was used to simulate signal behavior across detailed indoor environments, such as apartment buildings and office layouts. Several features allowed Qualcomm to generate realistic, repeatable data across a wide variety of scenarios—all with ground truth known and fully controllable:

  • 3D geometry modeling
  • Material-specific reflections and transmissions
  • Support for MIMO, beamforming, and polarization
  • Time-domain channel impulse responses (CIRs)
