In our Government Contracting line of business, Remcom has performed development and analysis services for a number of government customers. As a key part of this business, the Propagation Software Division is responsible for developing and maintaining the government propagation software library known as EMPIRE. We also perform a number of other services, including:
- Development of new custom software
- Use of advanced electromagnetic analysis tools to perform research and analysis
- Assistance to government customers and contractors in the development and enhancement of their software applications
Remcom's engineers and physicists have extensive experience in electromagnetic applications, particularly antennas and biological electromagnetics, propagation research including radio meteorology and terrain effects, antenna radiation, scattering, and formal software development. These skills, combined with advanced engineering tools and many years of experience, ensure successful performance on government contracts, providing crucial support for the US Department of Defense and other government agencies.
SBIRs and STTRs
As a small business, Remcom is also eligible to bid on Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) contracts. The Electromagnetic Propagation Integrated Resource Environment (EMPIRE) is a suite of government and commercial codes maintained by Remcom and used as the electromagnetic calculation engine by a number of government Tactical Decision Aids.
