XF7 System Requirements

The XFdtd^® version 7 GUI is available for the following platforms:

• Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, 32 and 64 bit editions
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 32 and 64 bit editions, x86 and x64 platforms only
• Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or higher
• RHEL5 and RHEL5-compatible operating systems

The minimum hardware requirements for the XFdtd version 7 GUI are:

• 1GB RAM minimum, 2GB (or more) recommended
• 1280x800 display resolution
• ATI Radeon 7500 or NVIDIA GeForce 4 or newer video card
• 600 MB free space on hard drive for program files
• Additional 300MB+ of hard drive space for full installation of all example files

The XFdtd computation engine is available for the following platforms:

• Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, 32 and 64 bit editions
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 64 bit edition
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 32 and 64 bit editions, x86 and x64 platforms only
• Mac OS X 10.5 and later, Intel platform only
• RHEL5 and RHEL5-compatible operating systems

XStream GPU Capability

• XStream requires a CUDA capable GPU

The MPI module is available for the following platforms:
